I am currently using Thunderbird version 140.10.2 esr. (32bit) I understand that to latest version is 150. I also understand that, from version 145, Microsoft Exchange accounts are supported natively by Thunderbird.

I am using a generic desktop PC running Windows 10 Pro (22H2)

I am having difficulties with an Exchange account using the OWL add on.

I would like to upgrade my Thunderbird to the latest version and use the native support for Exchange accounts. I would also, if possible, like to upgrade to a 64bit version.

When I follow the instructions (Help/Update Thunderbird) the pop up reports that 'Thunderbird is up to date'.

I can't see a way forward at present, can someone assist please.

Twice in one week a complete wipeout of all my accounts and emails, hours spent restoring my information after the first update, now a second one, do you do not care about the users of this product? and you wonder why you don't get donations when you wipe out everything and give NO instructions on how to avoid all this. Where is the version hidden?

I'm currently running Thunderbird 140.9.1esr and it shows an update available to version 140.10.0esr. However, when I click on the update button, it shows "downloading" but it stays at 0 bytes and will not download the update. All previous updates to my current version automatically downloaded and installed after I clicked on the update button. How do I fix this or is there a problem with 140.10.0esr? Thank you!

Now I have Tbird running on my Android with all my email accounts in it. However; my PC version (Win 11) is like a first install. Blank slate. It asks about some "Hub" thing and I don't understand exactly what it is asking for. Outlook name and password? Mozilla account name and password? Some other username and password? Can't transfer anything from mobile to PC (not good). Any way to fix this? Don't tell me I might have to go back to Outlook...

After the update it boots into address book can't find anything and want the old program back. Its not supposed to look like a browser with tabs the old one I could run from inbox knew where everything was, the new one looks like it was written by Microsoft. Every time I let Thunderbird update, the format changes to a previous format and my emails and folders are gone.

Having to call my contacts to have them send these receipts again is frustrating. Setting up new folders AGAIN is frustrating.

I have thought of contributing to you, but this behavior is beyond infuriating and costs me hours and hours of time to fix.

How can I get consistency? How can I retrieve what is lost? The only thing I know to do is to STOP letting you update my program.

Not a happy camper.

With 150.0 when I go Help/About it comes up with restart to update and when clicked on it restarts but does not update and simply repeats without updating, so the question is how to fix it?

First, let me describe the configuration I have been using successfully for two decades -

I am on the latest release channel release with a POP3 configuration.

I keep the message store on my file server and have Tbird installed on it and my laptop. The file server is a Win 11 machine as is my laptop. Each machine points to the message store (including the config file) on the file server.

Of late, every time I try to use Tbird on the file server, I get "You have launched an older version" message. So far reinstalling and pointing to the existing message store works.

But I am getting bored with having to reinstall every time, and I suspect this will eventually break completely.

Is there a way to stabilize this?

I don't know what version that was. I have used Thunderbird for a while. Does that imply that the previous version was 149.01? Or was it 148.01?

I had been using Thunderbird on a linux computer (ubuntu). I am now using it on a windows machine (temporarily, I hope). Could that be the reason I see a dramatic difference?

It's faster and it applies all changes more quickly, that's how it seems right now.

If there are still 32-bit and 64-bit versions available simultaneously, I'll test it sometime. I have no idea what kind of channel that would be.

Problem question:

In Thunderbird 64-bit POP3, the font changes to blue for every second email, including in replies. Can you tell me how to display every email in black? Only the second email in the inbox is displayed in blue, so the text isn't blue when receiving emails. When composing, everything looks black. What do I need to change?

Question 2: Regardless of whether it's 32-bit, 64-bit, or any channel, I see updates to the latest version, and in the program itself, there's an option to view older updates, but everything is white. I only see white and nothing else. Is this intentional? I can't see the update, but it's still current?

Auf meinem Laptop mit Windows 11 Home öffnet Thunderbird sich und der Bildschirm "Willkommen bei der Freiheit" erscheint. Dieser Bildschirm lässt sich nicht schließen. Es gibt keinen X Button. Ich kann lediglich auf links wie Mitmachen, Spenden, etc. klicken, aber meine E-Mails nicht sehen. Das Problem besteht seit gestern, ein Update habe ich am 27.03. gemacht.

"TB 149.0 (64 bit) tells me I can update to 149.0.1 but when I go to the "What's New" site, the info on the announcement page is "CHANGED There are no Thunderbird changes requiring release notes in this release" and nothing new is mentioned either. Why the release? What's different? Why the secret?

I too would appreciate knowing why this happened.

Question: There was a number after my email address, like "Email" and "1954." Who is that? Is that normal?

Questions: Thunderbird Portable The archive option isn't updating? How long does the backup take?

Different Thunderbird versions display a programmed year date in the archive option. For example, 2021 in one program and 2024 in another. Is that normal? I can't change anything.

It's as if it's accessing some kind of backup and maybe even sharing it, and I don't know what's correct.

Question:

Update Channel Ellipse Update Channel esr. Previously, there were different channels. Isn't another channel better? I've read that it's more stable than switching. Is that true? Information regarding the question below?
