ive had my laptop hard drive formatted due to having lots of problems, since having it back and installing version 3.6.8 i dont get any prompsto save my usernames and passwords

ive had my hard drive formtted on my laptop since having it back ive reinstalled firefox 3.6.8 which works fine apart from when i log into sites i dont get the promp at the top of the screen to save passwords .ive been through the tools>options >security and made sure the save password box is ticked and still it does nothing , any help would be appreciated

Did you make a backup and restored files from the previous setup?

For the passwords you need two files: key3.db (encryption key) and signons.sqlite (names and passwords).
