I have 3 devices with Thunderbird but one on my windows 10 , main pc , can not now receive emails even though sending out is fine. I think this failed after the lastest update & seems to be about SSL ? Removing password & it receives.

what version have you installed? What mail server are you connecting to. Without facts we are reduced to guessing. Not a very reliable way to get there.
