using the address bar to search starting with the word "lp" followed by space and other words then pressing enter. Firefox will just ignore the query and it will clear the search bar doing nothing.

Probably a bug, should I report it. I just ask here to confirm first.

Did you check keyword.enabled on the about:config page to make sure is set to true?

Ohh it was lastpass add-on on the first entry in the dropdown list, I tried to remove it to test and it worked as expected.
