attachment, in Thunderbird for Lightning
Hello,
Lightning used to be well integrated into Thunderbird. A file that could be imported into the calendar (in my case a .ics) attached in an email would easily be so (imported into the calendar). Now I have to save the file then go into the menu section for the calendar then import then delete the saved file; 3 steps a previous version spared me.
I don't know what happened but I'd like it if people at Mozilla would think of those using Lightning. I think, rather I'm convinced, if a couple people at Mozilla used Lightning as their main calendar, considering many sites integrate calendar files (to be imported) and a good portion of them also email those, that it wouldn't have been so long since the feature ceased to be implemented.
Good day

Are these invitations? or complete calendars.

I have no idea what your talking about. If you get an ICs attachment and lighting is installed and active then Thunderbird advises you there is a meeting invitation and offer buttons to accept or decline. I tested this not 20 minutes ago on another thread.
I can't do as you seem to be able to do. The attached screenshots are the steps I took; the file names show the step number (at its end).
