No password prompt to recieve messages starting version 38. Sending prompts Stopped remembering passwords in version 31 (I can not login to receive messages)
since the last update I can not login to receive messages, the login dialog does not popup, the login dialog does popup to send so I can login to send messages

I never did solve the problem so I switched to em client, that is working

What this gmail or exchange server? Was it an issue for both sending and receiving?
using ver 38.0.1, started after last update I could log in to send but could not receive (status bar said it was connected, but it wasn't) it had stopped remembering my password over a year ago but I put up with that, but not getting mail was too much so I switched to em Client, used Thunderbird for many years but didn't have time to mess with it any more
Thanks for the feedback. I hope this can help us improve Thunderbird. It is certainly a painful user experience.
