Firefox keeps telling me to upgrade. Even after complete uninstall and installing the newest version. Also, each time I restart my desktop I have to acknowledge about 12 add-ons. After that all works fine. Even when I restart Firefox.

I already tried uninstalling all add ons and then reinstall them again. Can the problem be related to the Siphon add on (which I no longer use)?

You are updated see your user agent :

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1

all you have to do is to set another page as the home page, see why is that in cor-el replyhere .

thank you

You posted your troubleshooting information in another thread ([/questions/907656]) that seems to indicate that you use or have used that profile folder with a lot of Firefox versions and are overriding the compatibility check (extensions.checkCompatibility.12.0).

You need to use a separate profile for each Firefox version if you want to use multiple Firefox versions.
