How do I change my designated email address. Do I have to cancel existing registration and start as a new member
An old email address is shown in my details. Am I correct in thinking I must cancel my registration and start again as a new user?

Fir this Firefox support website, hover the cursor over your "Logon Name" at the top of this page and then click on Edit Profile. Then click on Email - Change.
If you are talking about a Firefox Account for Sync services, you'll need to create a new account. At this time the email address is the primary identifier and it can't be changed. Changing that is high on the "wish list" of changes in the future.
