All of a sudden in the last 2 days none of the King Games will load on my facebook page using Firefox? Loads up to a point then nothing. But it works on Google Chrome? Thought that Firefox was reliable and did not wish to switch browsers, but this is starting to irk me somewhat. Need some answers please.

Hey there JonnyG777 and welcome to the SUMO support forums.

Candy Crush runs on AdobeFlash player a program that a lot of browser-based games run on. If your flash plug in is out of date then these games will have trouble running. These are some things you can check out to see if they help:

Please tell us if this helped, if not we will try something else.

All the best! Bradforth

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and hardware acceleration in Firefox and try this:

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the Cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Tried what you suggested to no avail? Losing the will to live with this. To my mind there is no reason why this has worked for years and all of a sudden it screws up? Just don't understand why?
