Chosen solution

Thank you for the crash reports. All of them mention rapportutil.dll, which is probably the cause of all your trouble. If you cannot remove it (need, to use it), I would suggest to contact Trusteer support https://trusteer.secure.force.com/PKB/articles/en_US/FAQ/browser-crashes, as mentioned in this topic.

Hi PcRepairGuru.

The browser performance with larger number of tabs open highly depends on your PC hardware. Have you tried to Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings or setup a new profile?

If so with no effect, you might want to try some add-on for auto (un)loading tabs, like UnloadTab, Auto Unload Tab, Load Tabs Progressively Fixed, Max Loaded Tabs or similar.

Hope this helps.

Regards, Michal

Sorry to hear about the crashes. If you are getting the Mozilla Crash Reporter form, your Firefox may have logged some data that would help track down the cause of the problem. You can submit that data to Mozilla and share it with forum volunteers to see whether it points to the solution. Please check the support article "Firefox crashes - asking for support" for steps to get those crash report IDs from the about:crashes page, and then post some of the recent ones here.

I think the problem might go with the new profile but then I'm missing user names, password forum details, addons and the tabs....unless theres a software that saves all of them

In all four of those crash reports, Firefox died as or just after running components of Trusteer Rapport, the security software often recommended and sometimes required by various financial institutions.

Over the years, there have been issues between Firefox and Rapport from time to time. Usually Rapport gets updated and that resolves it.

Since your crashes come late in your session, relative to other crashes I've seen with Rapport, this does not appear to be the usual severe compatibility problem fixed by an update. Still, you might check on that.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough experience reading the guts of crash reports to know more than what I've said so far.

I have shunt-down the Trusteer Rapport and the problem went away. Now just to see if they have done any update to sort the problem ....thank you
