When I log into thunderbird, warning messages keep coming up asking me to input my password. The messages keep coming even when I put in the password. It takes a long time to download messages and almost allways blocks me sending. I have to to my providers webmail to do any work.

I stopped using Thunderbird after having to change my email account to "Gmail.com". I don't like the gmail.com format, can I return to using Thunderbird for my gmail account email?

hi today thunderbird started showing yahoo popup login and after adding credentials i always get "something went wrong.We could not sign you in. Try again from a different device." Also popup once closed it opens instantly.

i can sign in normally from browser. thunderbird version is 147

is there any fix about this?

Had to create a NEW MS Account and am trying to add the associated Outlook mail account. Never had a problem before. Settings are: See attachment. These are the settings given me by Copilot. Am using a newly microsoft-created app password. Been here hours trying to get this done. Have removed and added the account at least 3 times. Have cleared saved passwords again and again. Get the error at the top of the attachment again and again. ANYONE can help me?

Hello, I went to https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/ or perhaps it was from https://releases.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/ and downloaded the thunderbird-60.6.1.source.tar.xz package, unarchived it and am now stumped :) How to proceed from there?

It seems like forever that I have been waiting for access to Thundermail, which I originally thought was going to be opened more broadly in January.

I have signed up for the waiting list (I think multiple times) but have not received any updates on progress. Ever.

My own email accounts are in flux, having mostly moved off of Gmail (after Google discontinued pop3 support) and Outlook (after Windows updates trashed my computer and corrupted my mail files) and tried mailbox.org, zoho, and protonmail without being completely happy with any of them. So I have been using Thunderbird but anxiously awaiting Thundermail which I was hoping would give me a stable cloud platform reachable by all of my devices.

I am happy to be an early adopter and paid user and deal with the growing pains. Is there any idea when people will be allowed to sign up?

Two days ago my Thunderbird was working perfectly. Since then, something happened and I have no idea what it could have been.

When I go to the CenturyLink ISP website, I can get my email. When Thunderbird worked two days ago, it could get my messages from 4 different email accounts at centurylink.net with Thunderbird.

Now, when I attempt to connect it says "Login to server pop.centurylink.net with username khalmeigh@centurylink.net failed." It offers the option to enter a password, which I tried repeatedly. Same thing. No ability to retrieve email, and again, nothing changed.

If I go to centurylink.net, I can retrieve my email. There is no problem with the email address, nor is there a problem with the password, or the host.

I've been using this program for a year and it suddenly stopped working. There is nothing wrong with centurylink.net.

I recently noticed that my Thunderbird has two identical Spam folders. I deleted Thunderbird from my computer and reinstalled it but the two Spam folders are still there. When I right click either one there is no Delete option.

I have saved relevant e mails to local folders in my Thunderbird account on my Applemac. I opened up Thunderbird on my MacBook and downloaded my Thunderbird account but it did not copy those local folders, merely 1 empty folder. Without these also shown in my Thunderbird account when I am away from home, I cannot see those records. I am struggling to find a solution. Are you able to help please? Alan Dowler

Got a message that my VPN auto pay failed (I just got a new card since my old card was compromised). Went into my account and changed the credit card. I also have Thunderbird, so I wanted to change that auto pay, but it's not viewable in my account. Do I have to wait until my next auto pay for Thunderbird fails to get a notice with a link to fix it?

I am having trouble with some emails not picking up I have checked and they are on the server but they wont download with the others some seem to be from one or two senders but i cant seem to get my head round the problem any help would be most welcome thanks len

I have tried severals methods to import a pst file from outlook to thunderbird but no success.

To be clear, I have a new computer which I don't use outlook with. Then, fomr my old computer I have reduce my pst file less than 2G. I have installed the importexporttools NG extension but i cannot import this pst. If i want to convert the file, i have to pay. I don't want because i need to do it once only.

Who can help ?

I have used Thunderbird for years for two emails. Suddenly about a month ago I get and authentication failure for server imap.gmail.com for the second email. I have tried everything I can find to fix this - including deleting the account and re setting it. I still get the error and am forced to use my browser to see that gmail account. My primary account works fine and the setting are the same for both. How do I fix this?

I use gmail and recently started using Thunderbird. Somehow Thunderbird started archiving all files. I am ok to leave the historical archives but I do not want to archive going forward. Account setting message archives is unchecked. There is no filter created to archive. Config does not contain an archive instruction. How can I stop archiving?

We recently switched to Clearnet Worx, dropped century link. Since then we have not been receiving emails from ppl and organizations that we want email from. Internet reception is fine but we can't figure out why we are not receiving email from ppl and orgs in our address book. We actually received a call from a friend who said his emails have been kicked back. I don't think our email box is full but I've not figured out how to check that.

We manage an email-account in Gmail with 3 persons. We consider to convert to Thunderbird in order to utilize various Folders. Right now all incoming email is either stored with a label or deleted. If one person stores an incoming email, e.g. a quote, in a folder, will this be a local folder ? Is the email still accessible by one of the other persons on a different computer ?

Hello, I use Thunderbird for years but suddenly I can not send mails out. I have re-installed Thunderbird but same issue. I checked all data in settings. Everything is good. I have deactivated Bitdefender but no influence.

Bitte überprüfen Sie, ob Ihre E-Mail-Adresse in den Konten-Einstellungen stimmt und wiederholen Sie den Vorgang. Means: Mistake when sending the mail: Mail server gives no answer. Policy violation. Service unavailable. Plese check your mail address in the settings and try ones more.

When I use vodafone as a mail program, I can send E-Mails out without any problems. Very strange. Can you help?
