How to instal Thunderbird for Mac 10,14/ Mojave
Hello, I went to https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/ or perhaps it was from https://releases.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/ and downloaded the thunderbird-60.6.1.source.tar.xz package, unarchived it and am now stumped :) How to proceed from there?

The most current version of Firefox for the EOL macOS 10.12,m 10.13, 10.14 is actually 115.34.0esr.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-macos-1012-1013-1014-moving-to-extended-support
The current Firefox 115 ESR can be downloaded at https://www.firefox.com/download/all/desktop-esr/osx/ > pick your language > [Download ESR 115] to download the current 115.34.0esr.
The old Firefox 115 ESR channel is being updated till 115.39.0esr unless Mozilla decides to extend updates yet again. It is only being updated for security/stability fixes and no new features.

Actually the last Tb 115 update was 115.18.0esr and not 115.16.0esr.

If you can update your macOS to 10.15 (ten.fifteen) or later then you can use the current versions of Thunderbird and Firefox.

I didn't find any 115.18.0esr version in https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/ but only a 115.16.0esr version

The 115.0 are all basically ESR versions whether they have esr or not. The Tb 102 for example was released in a ESR fashion though they do not have esr. The Tb 128.0 and Tb 140 have esr to show they are a separate channel from the Release versions.
