Why don't I have a reader mode icon?
I've tried to enable Reader Mode as the tips say, but there is no icon next to the URL.

What device? We disable reader mode for low memory devices (less than 512 MB of ram). If this is the case you can visit about:config and set reader.parse-on-load.force-enabled to true.
There are also pages that we cannot detect a main body of text. A good test site is http://bbc.co.uk their articles are able to be parsed by Firefox's reader mode.

I have Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 and no reader icon in either. I have checked the about:config setting to true on both.
What site? As I mentioned above reader mode icon only shows up for pages where we can detect a main article. Does http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-26630730 show the book icon in the address bar?
Thank you. That URL demonstrates that it does work. I had been using the one listed earlier in this thread ( http://bbc.co.uk) which does not parse correctly. So now I know that it does appear. Thanks again.
Mr. Brosnan, would you happen to know why the Reading List disappeared after an update? I still have a Reading Mode, but every time I save text in a Reading Mode and try to access it later, it re-directs me to History.
