Have appropriate add-on's to play MWV and downloads will not play. Checked and have add-ons correct. When I test with Foxfire test:Testing the plugin

The following link is to a test page that requires the Windows Media Player plugin. If the player loads and plays, then the plugin is installed correctly:

Try to disable the older Npdsplay.dll WMP plugin (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
