How do I stop Firefox from saving things I type into forms or usernames, etc, & showing it on the screen?

Firefox keeps showing me a suggested word, etc when I am typing in a username or even when I typed an account number. For example, when I start typing a v, it opens a window & suggests the v words I have typed before. so how do I shut that off???

Hi VJHuff,

I think you are referring to the Auto-complete feature. That article will show you how to enable/disable and manage the auto-complete feature in Firefox. If you are talking about usernames and passwords, you might want to look at the Password Manager Knowledge Base article.

Hopefully this helps!

Thank you so much. I don't know why I didn't think of that. I had looked everywhere else to solve the issue. So far, it is working. Thanks again.

You can use Clear Recent History to remove already stored form data.

See this for names and passwords that you may have stored.
