Mail notifications remains on the home screen and need to be removed manually. I had expected them to be removed after reading the mail or marking it as read. A notification summary with the number of received mails instead of a notification for each mail, as an option, would have been nice. /Sten

Can you create a new bug report on github for this. https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/issues

You can find instructions here to capture a debug log.

Resolving notification related issues is a top priority for the TB team at the moment. There's quite a few notification related bug reports, but not one I could identify covering your specific point.

The closest conversation I could find about your issue was on the K9-Mail forum. If your unaware, K9-Mail is the code base which Thunderbird for Android builds upon.
