There is a flash of white window at the first instant of the browser opening...and then it is as if the first instance of the browser opens but then hides its windoww... and then the second window opens successfully for browsing..... Use firefox on a windows 7 platform Wondering if others are seeing the same thing happening...

Firefox supports multiple home tabs.
- go to options > home
- Click the menu next to Homepage and new windows and choose an option to show either the Firefox Home page, enter your own URLs or show a blank page.
Thanks for suggestion... tried chnging these settings...lots of combinations...But the browser continues to appear to open and close a window before window remains open...
enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab. double-click it and change its value to false.
Its as if the firefox software opens a service instance of firfox in the background and instantly hides the browser access to it and then opens the public/user access window...
Tried ... browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab. double-click it and change its value to false. But no joy Im afraid... Have therefore changed value back to True fo now
