When I type a URL in my address bar, I DONT want the stupid Firefox to change it or suggest anything. If I make a mistake, too bad, my fault. But I certainly dont want the computer to change that address, for any reason at all. What can I do to prevent it from acting up, and sending me pages I dont want to see?

Hi J-Michel. I understand how frustrating that can be. It's important to note, by default, Firefox does provide you a list of previously visited web pages, that match what you're typing into the address bar, from your history. Firefox will also attempt to automatically complete URLs you enter that match previously visited web pages.

Suggestion: Prevent Firefox from automatically completing URLs and/or disable suggestions from Firefox from within the Location Bar(address bar).

in about:config search for keyword.enabled and browser.urlbar.suggest.searches and set both to false

notice on the very first time you type in the address field you are asked if you would like suggestions
