A message is multiplying itself and doesn't stop

Yesterday afternoon I received a message from a company and since then the message seems to mutiply itself on an on. It means that i can't receive other message through Thunderbird. How can i stop this mutiplying message and return to the usual functioning of Thunderbird?

try disabling the email scanning component in your anti virus program and rebooting.
