my entire setup was changed on me whilst I was using a website and as such I have now lost everything I had setup. why is this happening

Firstly I have lost my default,. I had it set up as google . next I lost all my bookmarks, I have also lost the bar I had which included bookmarks history etc. this all happened in the middle of using a program and now I cannot get it back. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS HAPPENING

Given it happened whilst using a programme, one suggestion would be to make a back up of your settings to reduce the possibility of this happening again.

Just search [Back up] for a few options

Once that is secure you can use the Customise toolbar option to show the Bookmarks tool bar if it is missing

The Google issue could just be setting the Home page to Google.com
