PCmatic doesn't seem to be existing any more. Their page shows a Plesk page. "Not helping to resolve the problem" sounds weird, due to the fact that you can get support for developing extensions for free from mozilla.

Everyone gets this support.

From my point of view, they were too lazy or too incapable to upgrade their extension to the new webextensions standard.

Furthermore, you are free to use any browser you like. Blackmailing a non-profit browser seems to be pointless to me.
