Unable to print

Unless a web page has a button for "print", I am unable to print any web pages: I go to upper left button (Firefox), go down to "print" move over to "print" and click...nothing happens. I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g. everything works propperly when using IE or CHROME.

ctrl+p does nothing. In "about:config" there is no "print.printer_printer".
