Changed password on email account not working in Thunderbird

hol4lar

I changed my password in my Juno account and have logged in via a browser with the new password several time. But Thunderbird attempts to connect continue to fail. I deleted the old password in Thunderbird in the Privacy & Security section thinking it would update when the new password works - unfortunately, it never works. I reviewed all the Juno settings in Thunderbird and they are all consistent with the Juno Support recommendations. Now what?

Try this: - go to privacy&security and DELETE the rows affiliated with the Juno account. then shut down and restart thunderbird and see if tne new password is accepted.

I already did that. so, I reconfirmed that the password was not present then closed Thunderbird and rebooted my MacBook Air. No change - TB still won't accept the new password and connect with my Juno account.

I am at a loss. Changing passwords is always problem-prone. Maybe someone else has ideas.

The only thing I can think to do is delete the account from TB then add it back in. If I do that what happens to all the mail/folders that are under that account. Plus - i need to change my password on my primary Juno account that is also in TB. I want to resolve the issue with the first account (an alternate I use as second options for recovery on some accounts).
