Automatic update function works neither in Firefox, nor in Thunderbird on my PC under Windows 10

Hi,

I have been using Firefox and Thunderbird for ages now. In the good old days, the automatic update function worked in both Firefox and Thunderbird. However, for at least a year now, neither Firefox nor Thunderbird installs the updated version(s) whenever they are available. Please look at the attached screenshots of my respective settings.

These days I am always warned by a third application that either or both Firefox and Thunderbird has/have update(s). Then I have to install the update(s) manually.

I would appreciate your feedback or advice.
