Link to specific page of pdf does not work with Firefox

Hello, I want to add a link in a web page to a PDF file which takes you to a specific page of the PDF file. All the instructions I have found so far tell me to e.g. add #page=6 to the end of the link if I want to link to page 6.

However, whether this works or not seems to depend on the browser used, I have found the situation to be as follows: Edge, Chrome, IE: PDF opens to desired page Firefox: Only opens the PDF on the first page of the document.

Does anyone know a solution for this?

Thanks for your help, Rebecca

Hi Rebecca, when the server allows the PDF to open directly in the built-in PDF viewer (as web content, rather than a forced download), it works for me. For example:
