Cannot access Yahoo Mail with imap

We are having troubles with Thunderbird accessing our Yahoo email. It fails while trying to fetch the list of folders. No new email is downloaded and our existing email does not show either. I was able to log in via the web app and it wanted me to use the new Inbox. I said yes, thinking that this might be the problem, but it still doesn't help. This happens with both my account and my wife's account (my wife has old Inbox). We usually connect with Yahoo Mail via imap in Thunderbird.
