Can't delete an email account, delete tab isn't highlighted?

Trying to delete an email account but in the idenities tab the delete tab is not high lighted so I can't delete account? I have a screen shot that is 220kb but won't upload.

Chosen solution

You cannot delete the default account. Is the one you want to delete marked as default? If so change the default and try again.
