When I click on the + symbol to create a new tab, I get the Google search page. How can I get a blank page? I tried about:blank and removing the Google search engine but there was no change.

Hello,

Go to your about:config page and modify the preference browser.newtab.url, if you want a blank page you can set it to about:blank.

In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps:

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
