Why does Firefox ask me to check the plug-ins whenever I start the browser?
When I start Firefox 16, I am asked by the browser to check and update the plug-ins. This is done by displaying the plug-ins page before my homepage. It started happening a couple of days ago and keeps appearing again and again whenever I start the browser. I have to solve this nuisance. Otherwise, I am going to delete the browser.

Please update to Firefox 18, then Reset. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
