Version 159.0 (64-bit) has bugs.
cannot seem to send emails to multiple people without going thru mail merge. I can no longer type the persons name in to: field and it will not autofill. I tried to go to calendar function and got a blank screen.
Can I go back to a previous version?

Lets start at the very beginning, because you made me smile with your comment about bugs.
Every Software ever released has bugs, In the case of Thunderbird thousands of them some dating to a distant past when the date started with a 19. You have encountered an issue with an update, that is unfortunately not uncommon and even less uncommon when folk use add-ons. (I use add-ons).
Next there is a diagnostic process if you experience difficulties. On the help menu you will find a restart in Troubleshooting mode. That will restart Thunderbird in a special mode that disables a number of high end features that most folk never see and al your add-ons and themes. IF you have not issues when you restart in that mode then the cause has been largely limited to installed add-ons and theme in this instance. Try it and see what happens with your sending issue.
yea I know software has bugs. Anyway. so Thank you for letting me know about the troubleshooting mode, very helpful. when addons are disabled things work great. So I enabled them all and disabled the suspected ones. First one is CardBook which stops predictive info in TO field. Second is Mail Merge and when I put regular email address and No Mail Merge variable, just a normal email, it gives an error to cancel and send using mail merge. I have sent emails explaining bugs to both of there support emails.
