McAfee is continuously reporting a Trojan Threat
From the day when I started using Thunderbird Mail client, from that moment only, McAfee is notifying me after every 5 seconds of a Trojan Threat
C:\Users \Pankaj Jain \ AppData \ Local \ Temp\ Trojan:Win / SuspiciousAttachmentScript.a
And the moment I uninstalled Thunderbird it stopped notifying it. And then I reinstalled it, same started happening. It hijacks the system and if I am writing, it stops that and wants me to see that notification (which all antiviruses wants to). Even worse is that I cant find any setting in McAfee to stop this notification.
I am frustrated now. Can you help on this?

Your Profile is stored in the 'Roaming' folder not the 'Local', so that is good.
In Thunderbird
You may have already deleted an email that contained the problem. But, until you 'Compact' all your folders there may be traces of emails. Anti-virus often pick up on email that have already been deleted but traces of emails still remain. So Compact all your folders first.
Opening emails is not a problem and that action in itself will not cause a virus to be installed. Allowing 'Remote Content' which is by default not enabled - so you would have had to switch that on. Clicking on links without verifying they are legit links first can be a problem because they may open on wrong site, so virus can get onto computer via the browser. Do not open any attachment because you are curious. Bad people hope you are curious and they send an email with a bad attachment saying something like: here is you invoice and you think what invoice ? If you are not expecting an invoice then it's not real and do not open it. Delete the email and compact the folder.
Maybe McAfee can remove it, but do it this way: Restart computer in 'Safe Mode'. It uses only the basic things and disables the internet. Then run full scan. If AV finds anything such as that Trojan:Win file in Temp folder, then let it fix the problem.
You might want to try another method as well. Use Microsoft Defender in offline mode. To run Microsoft Defender in offline mode:
- Choose Start, then type "security". Open Microsoft Security.
- Click on "Virus and threat protection".
- Click on "Scan options".
- Select "Microsoft Defender Antivirus (offline mode)."
- Click "Scan now".
Running this scan will restart the computer and perform an offline scan. Doing this disables the malware to make scanning and quarantining easier.
