when i signed on this morning all of a sudden a window in the middle of my screen said that firefox wanted to update my add on with something called Primary ..i tried to back out of the install as there was no description as to what it is. i closed my FF browser and when i opened back up and went to add ons it was installed ...I turned it off as i want to know what it is. i have never seen something like that with no description. I tried to research it and can't find anything about it .. Please HELP .....should i uninstall? I am afraid that it is some kind of virus that installed itself in the browser.

from the vibe i got it's just a malware, instead of turning it off uninstall it. Firefox will NEVER require addons (at least until now and i don't think they will). To remove it go to about:addons, click the three dots and click report and fill the form. Another tip is to never click allow / install when on a popup or popunder, just close them ;)

It’s very sad, but many software downloaders/ installers will trick you into installing not only their program, but other programs as well.

You have heard of the fine print in shady contracts, right? Well, some installers you need to look at the itsy bitsy teeny weeny fine print.

You are thinking you are giving the installer permission to install the program you want by using the recommended option. But if you use the Manual Option Instead, you discover all kinds of stuff that you do not even know what it is or what it does.

From now on, everyone needs to Use The Manual Option to put a stop to this.

Note that these programs can also change browser/computer settings.
