Are you connecting to a valid mail server or not? Don't ask how to get rid of the screen that is informing you of the problem, without making a decision. Thunderbird will not securely connect to a server that offers up invalid security certificates, unless you specifically direct it to..

I you feel your not capable of making a decision, perhaps you need to contact you mail provider and ask them why your getting such a warning for their mail server so you have enough information to actually make an informed decision.
