Starting yesterday cannot get smpt  certificate for my supplier that I have been using since 1978. The message says the origin of the error is Thunderbird.  Even after pressing the button confirm security exception SMTP still does not work.

my guess is their are other issues. Two things spring to mind

1 view the details on the certificate. Who is the issuing authority. Note the report I refered you to lists the user trust network (comodo). I bet this one is issues by some upstart anti virus product.

2. open the error console. (ctrl+Shift+J Clear it. Go through the motions with the certificate.
