Shortcut on home screen will not remove

When I long press shortcut and choose remove, it does not remove. Some will others won’t. I don’t think it is a sponser shortcut because I think I originally put it there.

So it's not a shortcut, but a frequent history item. So you e.g. remove your most frequent wikipedia page, but it will most likely grab the second most frequented wikipedia article from history. You can remove the recent shortcuts from the same site that way one by one, but as you see that might not work out if you've got plenty of them. When you remove these from your history per se, they should also stop showing on the home tab.

Hi RW44, are you talking about desktop shortcut or the iOS one?

is this a problem on mobile or desktop devices ? I think you should insert a picture too.

Sorry for delay, a bad two weeks. Anyway, iOS version of Firefox on iPad 10. Sometimes nothing happens, other times the shortcut just changes position.

Thanks jbr. I've deleted history and my shortcuts(?) went away but left the ones I did not try to get rid of. Still not sure how the whole thing works, but I'm satisfied for now :).
