I recently noticed that some of my local folders are missing. Not all of them, but some of them. Following some advice we found in the forums, we closed Thunderbird and then deleted the .MSF files from the Local Folder. When we restarted TB, we had more of the local folders, but were still missing 18 of them in the alphabetical order they are listed in. I created a new profile and copied the local folders over to the new profile. When I started TB using the new profile, there were fewer local folder listed than before. Went back to the previous profile and had the local folders that were still missing 18 folders. I see that there maybe a bug for this being researched as I saw 4 other posts in the forums regarding this recent problem and wanted to get my problem noted also. Thank you.

Hi, I would like to inform you that, following the last automatic update, almost all of my local folders have disappeared. I have tried the option "repair start", but with no result. When I tried to create one of the folders that had disappeared, I received the message "the folder already exists", but as you can imagine, I can't see it!!! What is happening? I am really worried...please help me... Thanks!

How do I add a person's non-default email address to a mailing list?

I have a mailing list for our golf league, and in my address book many of those in the list have both a work and home email address, with one marked as the default. Some of our members would like messages sent to the list to go to both addresses. But I haven't found a way to add a person's non-default address to the list.

Do I need to create two address book entries for each of these people, one for each email address, and separately add them both to the list? That seems awfully klunky/inefficient to me.

Hope someone can help me to figure out how to fix the email message reading screen issue.

I have Thunderbird version 140.3.1esr (64-bit), the "latest version," on Windows 11 64-bit.

Everything looks good, except the email form HTML format looks very bad; it looks like design time on HTML, and any link is not clickable. Also, when I open the message, the HTML shows as an HTML file attachment (see the image), while the same email looks good in the message pane window.

I have multiple email accounts; I always see the annoying yellow message telling me a "unique identity matching the from address was not found"

Also, for some reason, Thunderbird disappears from the Windows status bar when I close the message, not the application, or when I click on another program.

Geek Squad agents were trying to figure out how to add another signature in Thunderbird, and ended up 'disappearing' more than half of my local folders (no idea why they were playing around with folders in the first place). They found them (didn't leave me information about where they were, but some kind of data), but don't know how to move them back into the proper position.

Since a few weeks ago every time I try to drag an email from the inbox to a folder (I'm not ever trying to drag it out of Thunderbird), if I falter with the mouse or try to drag it a second time I get dialog box asking if I want to replace a file that already exists in the "mozDraggedFiles" folder. e.g.:

 CONFIRM
 /var/folders/4g/sjfdskjgdsklfi098ds09jsejre/T/mozDraggedFiles/<subject_of_email>.eml Already exists do you want to replace it? Y/N

Clearly a temp folder for stored copies of emails before they get moved/copied somewhere.

Which links to another couple of bugs, but all are talking about dragging files to desktop or other location but not about dragging them within the program.

Presumably once a dragged email reaches it's destination the copy in the mozDraggedFiels folder ought to be cleared right? I wonder why that has changed recently, I'm pretty sure I haven't had this issue before.

Also to make matters worse when the dialog box comes up, it is only displayed locally to the machine to screens connected directly to it and if I am remoting in with share screen or something like jump desktop the machine essentially hangs/disconnects until the dialog box is closed!

Anyone else getting this ?

I have many emails oi my phone and I want to delete 80% of them. How do I do this other than 1 by 1?

Even by date would be okay I guess.

Hi, Thanks for looking at this issue. I am traveling and my regular email provider's SMTP server cannot do outgoing relay for my own domain name. I do have a Gmail account also, so I thought about relaying through smtp.gmail.com. I got an app password and added the gmail account to Thunderbird. Downloaded gmail messages fine, and outgoing mail was fine. Incoming mail from my own account stopped coming in. When asking to get mail a blue bar is on the bottom right. After a while it goes away. My incoming mail server does not get a request. There is mail waiting to be delivered. Tried the following: Thunderbird safe mode: no change. Tried removing the saved passwords for my account and for gmail. Get mail for gmail asks for a password. My account does not.

Thunderbird Rel 143. Win 10 Pro ver 22H2 When I attempt to print my calendar Events in the next 12 months as a list I get a blank page. If I select monthly grid then all the events appear. In the prior release of Thunderbird I was able to obtain my desired list, and the entries in the future calendar have not had any recurring events added. Any ideas?

Hi, I have "K-9 Mail 11.1" on Android 9 (and I'm hoping this is the right place for this question).

I have some Mail accounts connected to K-9, and on the left menu - a little bit above the "settings button", there is the "refesh button". It only "refreshes" all incoming folders of my accounts, but ..

- how to refresh all folders (Incoming, Output, Drafts, Send, ..) for all connected accounts with one command?
