I am upgrading a desktop PC and have the opportunity to customize its components specifically aiming at improving and increasing Thunderbird's performance.

In addition to any software tweaking, what resources or combination of resources would contribute the most to increasing Thunderbird's performance ? Can I use RAM to cache some or all storage activity ?

The current profile and mailbox (IMAP) are >60GB.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello, I recently updated to 15.3.2 on a silicon Mac Mini. This morning, both Firefox and TBird ran slowly. I restarted twice and spoke to a Senior Adviser at Apple. The second restart was at her advice, and it brought TBird back to normal performance. She said she believed that the computer was indexing after the update to 15.3.2, which took place last night.

We thought that Firefox was normalized as well, but it is still working slowly compared to Safari. Any suggestions?

For the past few weeks my credit union website has posted the following error code "A connection failure has occurred. Please try again or call the Member Service Center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at (907) 563-4567 or (800) 525-9094.

I called member service and they blamed the problem on Mozilla, stating they are slow to update their security protocols to accept GCU's advance security. They refused my suggestion that they reach out to Mozilla and there is no direct way to contact Mozilla Support.

I have used this browzer for years with no problem, and now I can't use it on my online banking site; the only site where this problem occurs. HELP

My linux system no longer has pulseaudio installed (for reasons unrelated to firefox).

The --enable-alsa option is not rejected by firefox but doesn't work either. The only way to get audio from firefox in this install is through the apulse wrapper:

    apulse firefox ...

Note that chrome browsers have no problem with audio when pulseaudio is not installed.

Is the --enable-alsa in firefox supposed to work?

For about 6 months now, my printers have been disappearing and reappearing at random...or so I thought. However, today, I left my Printer window opened while the printers were "Connected". I then proceeded to open the programs I regularly use: First Word. Nothing. Then Acrobat. Nothing. Then Chrome, still nothing. Then Thunderbird...Bam! Printers Disconnected. I said, let me try this again, and again, and again. Each time...same result. When launching Thunderbird...within 5 secs, the printers disconnect. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen. Anyone out there looking for a fun challenge? I've never seen this happen before and would love a resolution. Oh, and before it's suggested: I already checked the PrintSpooler service...connected or disconnected, it's status reads: "Running" in Task Manager.

Hi! I've tried everything, from refreshing to troubleshoot mode, but it says the same thing, that every installation I try has been adborted due to it being corrupt. It even deleted my previous theme. I'm very stressed, could someone please help? I use Nobara Linux and will include screenshots of the following: My browser is also completely up to date, I just reinstalled. I also followed the guide it said for this issue and deleted extensions.json but couldn't find the others.

It also disappears when I download extensions after verifying and when I click to install again the button won't move before going to the actual add-ons area. Thanks!

I enjoy Firefox and use it on all platforms. In the last week it has been difficult to browse if I leave the app for more than a few seconds. I have found that in Task manager, the Firefox processes go to efficiency mode. Once that happens I cannot bring the browser back active. How can I turn off efficiency mode for Firefox? Thanks.

When I try to download anything Firefox Caps my download speed at 10MB/s Other browsers don't. I tried, Edge, Chrome, Etc... they all give me access to my full Gigabit speed. I've attached 2 screenshots with a SpeedTest comparison.

After the last update, your browser is lagging on youtube web, every time I press a button, it takes 5 seconds for the button to respond. Will Firefox bring fix solution for this ?

Hello, I cannot access microsoft.com, outlook.com, or hotmail.com without receiving the "Gah. Your tab just crashed" window. I have unistalled firefox and re-installed the most current verison (not importing previous data) with no luck. I have no issues with Safari or Google Chrome accessing these websites. I prefer FireFox but need to access my Microsoft Account & Apps. My co-worker uses the same version of firefox as well as the same OS and has no issues.

On a website I visit, Firefox is not showing icons. The attached picture shows how it looks in Fifefox on top and Edge on the bottom on the same PC. Things I have done so far:

1) Cleaned cookies and cache 2) Turned off all extensions and virus program 3) Turned off hardware acceleration

Just downloaded Thunderbird on LInux and I'm trying to set up my calendar. My Apple reminder aren't showing up. When I add a calendar with https://caldav.icloud.com, I'm able to subscribe to my calendars with no problem. Reminders shows up on the list (with a warning emoji next to it) but none of my reminders show up. However, there are two tasks:

- The creator of this list has upgraded these reminders With a link to this Apple support page: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102457, telling me how to upgrade reminders. I'm on ios 18.3.1. And another tasks with no description, just says: Where are my reminders?

Is there any way to get it to work? Anything else I could try? Any help would be appreciated: :-)

The last update has broken the functionality of the comments section on YouTube. The comment section no longer loads. Also Firefox now sucksass as you are using people's data for profit. Might as well be owned by Google at this point.

Im having an issue where i want to watch youtube on firefox with picture-in-picture mode, but the only way ive found to do it is with the "open in pop-up view" option when opening the screen with all my open apps and clicking on the firefox logo.

the issue with this is that the smallest this pop-up view box can get is still much too big compared to how videos display when using picture-in-picture view through the youtube app. and i know for a fact videos playing through a pop-up view browser tab can become the smaller youtube type of player window because ive gotten it to happen by accident 4 times now, but with no idea how to consistently get it to happen.

it seems to occasionally happen when i leave an app with the left button in some way, but like i said its never consistent about when it happens.

the 2 images attached show the pop-up tab version and the youtube picture-in-picture version. its possible to make the one into the other, but surely one of yall knows a better method than fiddling with buttons until it works.
