The built-in VPN on Android phones/tablets isn’t something Mozilla is planning right now, but they are definitely taking feedback into account and may explore it down the line.

Firefox on iOS/iPadOS due to Apple's restrictions uses Webkit and not Gecko as the browser engine so that may complicate things on whether they can have a built-in VPN for that mobile version.
