After the last few Firefox updates, my bookmarks will not work at all. I have never had these issues before the last few updates, but they're quite aggravating. Is there an easy way to fix this issue where it does not happen again?

I'm getting totally disgusted with Firefox, Windows 11. FF updates automatically. More and more websites will not open when I'm using the browser, and they open just fine when I switch to another. Since I have used Firefox ever since its inception, it's extremely distressing. It doesn't matter if I turn off ad blocking and tracking software. The latest site that won't open is Substack, which works perfectly okay using the Brave browser. This is probably the 10 instance this month of a website that does not work with FF, including once that always did work just fine.

Other changes are also annoying, but I'll save them for another complaint.

An in-browser app tries to call "navigator.userAgentData.platform" to determine which operating system is in use, but the causes a Java Exception.

If I try the same thing under Edge it works OK.

I have multiple profiles set up with the "old system" ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles ). Now, the new system is available for me, but I can't see an easy way to migrate my existing profiles into the new system.

I'm running into frequent tab crashes, very commonly on pages that have a lot of elements, or things to render on the page.

Specifically, I am being challenged by gmail, where switching to my inbox will 100% crash my tab.

Here are a few crash reports to look at from this gmail example. It is not gmail alone that causes this, other websites such as Zillow, youtube, etc. Pages that contain a lot of information and pictures typically cause this.

I also want to mention that I have the exact same profile loaded onto another machine, and I experience no issues. I do not believe this is an extension issue, but I am open to disabling all of them and generating more crash reports if anyone would like for me to try that.

What stuns me the most in these crash reports is the reported amount of "available virtual memory" exceeding far beyond what I have available on my machine. Can anyone help pinpoint what about my system would keep making Firefox think I have this much available virtual memory?

Hi. Recently, a old issue has comeback on my firefox. When I load youtube video, or a twitch livestream, at 60FPS, and I scroll down the page, the scroll "lags" until the player is off screen. By lags i mean it slows down the scroll and is no longer smooth. This is an issue I've had before and had successfully dealt with by accessing about:config and turning media vp9 off, but it has returned fairly recently, since I do not remember this issue happening before the last week, maybe two. Another issue, also on youtube, is that when I scroll down through shorts, sometimes after a couple of videos, the browser will visually freeze entirely, but will still allow me to click things on the page and also play sounds. After about 20 or so seconds, it will unfreeze and work normally.

I understand that this issue, atleast the 60fps scroll lag, has been an issue for a while and I have tried multiple fixes for it, changing various boolean settings, refreshing firefox, updating my Nvidia drivers to the newest via nvidia app which i should add has never been an issue for the past few months and has worked flawlessly and my nighmarish evening of troubleshooting ended with me completely fully uninstalling firefox and redownloading fresh, but the issue presists.

It should be noted that on other browsers, I have no such issue. Im not sure if mentioning this is some sort of taboo or persona non grata, but i also downloaded and tested Waterfox, and it also does not have this issue. The only band aid fix I found for the moment is that turning off Hardware Acceleration fixes the scroll issue, but it causes awful screen tearing, which is just as bad and distracting.

So to my understanding, 3 potential things are happening. This issue is just in my head Something on my pc is dying and I have a mechanical or software problem Or finally, there is some issue with a recent update, either with firefox or maybe some driver somewhere causing an issue. It just upsets me greatly due to this being a relatively new issue. As stated I have dealt with the scroll lag before and did find a permanent fix, and firefox has since worked literally flawlessly for months/years. But now, somewhere within the last week, maybe 2, something has gone wrong. I hope this gets fixed in an update, or if others have this problem there is a fix. Thank you.

I have been using virtualrailfan.com but recently have experienced non operation of the app. Using another browser does not have this difficulty. The site starts OK but going to a sub-site, it refuses to start Virtualrailfan says it is a problem on my end and the fact that another browser works, confirms this fact. They initially said zoom was the problem but changing that in the browser didn't work. Please help

up until this latest version you could delete your search history with a simple right click. This option no longer exists and there is no easily found way to delete "Search History" where did it go? will it be returned? is Search History no longer delete able?

I use BT internet for emails. When composing an email I type the addressee into the To box. The full address pops up but when I click on it Firefox only copies in the first few letters. The address is then highlighted in red as invalid. I have been in touch with BT who say that this is a known Firefox problem. I found this to be true becasue my email service works fine in Chrome. However Firefox is my preferred browser so I would like to get this fixed. Thank you.

From some long time the is no sound when i open music or movie in browser dont know whats happend - restart or new version of browser did not help at all - other browsers everything works fine

Emails viewed in Firefox with Link to YouTube wants me to log in to YouTube when I click on the link in the email.

I receive a weekly email with a featured bird that when clicked should show me a video of that bird. Before the most recent FireFox update I would get a page that wanted me to log in to YouTube; but, there was no way to do so. Now since the update it works-takes me to the video and runs the video.

Was not working last week but since an update it does work. This is an on and off again problem. I have contacted the people who compose the video with no solution on their part; but, in a few days or weeks when you update your browser it will work! Then with another update it won't work. Off again and on again.

After the latest version was updated, Version 149.00.7, on my laptop, on 27 March 2026, the browser closed midway while I was working, and now I can no longer access Firefox.

When I click on the Icon to access I keep getting the following error message as per the attachment:

I have uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it THREE TIMES already', but I still get the same error as before, as per the screen print provided.

I have even tried to install Firefox with custom settings, but then in order to proceed with the installation the ONLY button to proceed was the "UPGRADE" option.

I am at my wits end because this is totally unacceptable and the updated version obviously DOES NOT WORK!!!

Your urgent attention and prompt action in sorting this out will be appreciated, thanks.

Is there a setting to disable product update notifications?

For example, I got a notification on Windows today prompting me to try out Firefox's new split tab view.

I do not want to receive these product update notifications.

I know I can disable notifications in Windows at the OS level, however, this also disables notifications for all websites I have enabled.

Is there an option to disable these?

I have dark mode set as a theme and a dark reader extension enabled. As of yesterday, when I open a PDF it always displayed with white text and a black background. I have vision issues and need my PDF'S to be able to easily read.
