Why am I being blocked from websites? I keep receiving messages 504 Gateway Time-out. The question I searched in google was, what size comb do I use to clip my dog's long hair? It's a simple question. Why did it send me this message 504 Gateway Time-out. I am not all that computer literate so I could use some help please. FYI I used Firefox as my browser.

Thanks.

Hello there! Don't worry you didn't do anything wrong usually what this means is it’s a problem between servers on the internet. Basically, the server that handles the request (like Google or the website you’re trying to visit) didn’t get a response in time from another server it relies on.

Reload the page – Sometimes it’s temporary. Press F5 or click the reload button.

Restart your router/modem – Turn it off for 30 seconds and turn it back on.

Clear Firefox cache – Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data, then check Cached Web Content.

Try later – Often, a 504 error is on the website’s side, not yours, so waiting 5–10 minutes and trying again may work.

Hope this helps!!
