I'm trying to sign into/sync Firefox on a new phone. It keeps saying I need to get code from authenticator app. I don't have one! I try to scan IR code from computer, but it still requires a code. Sometimes it says it is sending a code to my email address. It does not. I ask it to resend code but it never does. I am logged into Firefox on my computer, is there a way to turn off the authenticator or otherwise solve this problem?

You might have to use your computer that your logged in from and turn off or check how your security settings are set to make sure something is set wrong here. I would say turn off 2FA it's not helpful and could lock you out and if it does the account will become a lost account.

I am just trying to sign in from the original device and also am being asked for a 2FA code, of which I never turned on. I'm even still signed in on another tab so I know for a fact that it is "NOT" turned on this very moment, and have included a screen-cap of the window for your viewing pleasure. This issue has me more than a little miffed.
