Locked out of my firefox account

I haven't used this pc in a while and have been trying to update firefox, sync and access my online accounts such as my gmail account. I received this message:

Sorry. We’ve locked your account.

The confirmation email we sent to ... @gmail.com was returned and we’ve locked your account to protect your Firefox data.

If this is a valid email address, let us know and we can help unlock your account. No longer own that email? Create a new account.

This gmail account is still active and I own it!
