Non mi è chiara la tua domanda... Se la cartella è vuota ma la ricerca trova ancora dei messaggi, allora potrebbe essere un problema di aggiornamento dell'indice che puoi forzare seguendo questa guida -> https://support.mozilla.org/it/kb/ricostruzione-indice-globale

Altrimenti prova a spiegare più dettagliatamente il problema, magari con un esempio.
