Periodically, every three/four months, on my wife's Lenovo computer with Windows 10 Firefox has the following problem; she opens it but the Firefox window doesn't appear on the screen. Firefox is open but is not visible. I usually uninstall it and reinstall it for her and everything works fine for a few months, then the same problem. I've seen complicated solutions on now closed questions, but I'm just wondering why this happens at periodical intervals. She's not very good with computers and if no one's around her to help her it's a problem. Is there no very easy solution for this? Can't you create an app to download that automatically solves the problem? Thanks Gianmaria A Firefox fan since 2004.

Do you have the Firefox icon on your quick launch? Right click on it, and select Open New Window. Sometimes this works. If it opens, close it by Menu > File > Exit.

I do, but "open new window" didn't solve the problem. I've reinstalled now and everything is working fine, if the problem happens again in a few months' time, I'll try it again. Thanks for your time.

If it happens again then try to rename/remove xulstore.json (and a possible localstore.rdf) in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.
