Firefox crashes, stopped working suddenly
Hi, Started PC today and suddenly firefox no longer works. Running old XP, but no problems, nothing has been changed simply stopped working this morning. I've tried uninstalling, even deleting profiles & running a complete clean re-install, but still get the same crash error.
No malware on the system. Can anyone help ?

since the issue seems to be mainly appearing on older versions of firefox as well, can you please try downloading & installing firefox 48.0.2: https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-48.0.2-sha1&os=win&lang=en-US

hi mrhallam, thanks for providing a crash report id. we have seen quite a number of similar reports about this issue in the last hours and this issue is likely caused by your norton security software that is hooking into firefox (probably through a program/signature update done by them). can you please try to disable norton temporarily and see if you can get firefox to launch again and get in contact with symantec's support about this issue as well?

Hi Philipp, yes that worked, thanks. I had try to update to the latest, but could only find a link to version 43.0.1, but that link you gave above has installed & fixed.
