Can't find a way to get bold and underline in sending email in ThunderBird

I am using the latest release of Thunderbird. I Write an e-mail and can't find an option to boldface, underline or color any of the words in my message. They used to be there in a menubar but not now.

When in writing mode in TB, on the menu bar at the top click on Format and you will find the different options for text formatting.

If you cannot find the menu bar on the top, here is what you must do. Right Click where the menu bar should appear, then if there is no tick in front of Menu bar just click on it to enable.
