New tabs open each time I click a link-multiple tabs open wwhen I am sleeping. How do I stop this other that switching browsers?
Here is an example. I use Net address for my email. I click to open an email and a new tab opens with two clicka-able options.One is to click on Net address which will open the email and the other is to open another new tab. Also, I leave my computer on at night. I wake up to four new tabs.

Blank tabs opening alongside the page you wanted have been reported to be a side effect of the "MySearchDial" extension. If you do not recall installing that or do not find it useful, I suggest disabling or removing it.
Open the Add-ons page using either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions.
If there is no Remove button, check the Windows Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Clicking the "Installed on" column heading may reveal it to be part of a bundle with other suspect programs.
Does removing that help with the overnight new tabs issue?
