How do I delete contents of my trash folder?

Please clarify what "trash folder" are you talking about? If it's Windows Recycle Bin, double click on it and there'll be an option to empty it. Otherwise, please advise further.

I used to have a logo on my screen for the bin and I could empty it but since my comp was reformatted I can't find the garbage bin.
