went into firefox account, verification link was sent to confirm e mail address, text tells you to confirm e mail however there is no link to reply to ( e mail generated automatically)

Try re-sending the request that you sent. Is all that I can think of until a Moderator can have a look and see if can help you with your issue as it is non-technical.
