not receiving 2 step verification codes

For the last 2 days I have not been receiving 2 step verification codes for my Yahoo email accounts and am unable to open my email. I have spent ~3 hours chatting with 3 different Yahoo agents today trying to trouble shoot and they say it is a Firefox issue. We have cleared my Firefox cache and history, I have the latest version of Firefox, I was originally set up to "Never Remember History", now it is on custom to clear every time I close Firefox - nothing helps. I am able to access a Yahoo account that does not require 2 step verification and I am also able to receive verification codes for my Gmail email account. I always log in from my laptop, I only have a dumb phone which I use only for 2 step verification, it is not a new phone. Please help me access my Yahoo email.

Describe the two steps. Check the settings of the two steps. If you are using your cell for the second step, check its number.

The settings can only be checked and the cell number can only be checked once you are in your account. I was able to access the accounts via the code sent to a non Yahoo email account and all settings look right. But still no codes received on my cell. Re the process once 2 step verification is set up: first step is to enter your password as on any email account, the second is an automated window that pops up where you request your code before you can access your account.

For now, turn off the two step and contact Yahoo support.
